Stéphane Le Foll
Born in Le Mans (France), He graduated with a M.A from « Le Maine University » and the Université de Nantes (France). He was elected once as a member of the European Parliament (2004-2012), twice as a member of the French Parliament (2012-2017). Elected as MP in the Department of Sarthe, he is presently a member of the Commission of sustainable development in French national Assembly. During President Hollande’s presidency, he served as both Ministry of agriculture and spokesperson of the Government. During five years, as Ministry of agriculture, he succeeded in implementing public policies in favor of agroecology. He is at the origin of the “4 for 1000” Initiative recognized in the world as a prominent and leading initiative to promote agroecology. He is the author of a book “la première graine” (Ed. Calmann-Levy) in which he describes his passion for agriculture, his deep interest in agroecology and his work as French Ministry to fight climate change through the passing of his law on agriculture (2014).
