Conservation Nation launched in the fall of 2021 with a mission devoted to supporting and amplifying underrepresented voices in the conservation field, including women, people of color, Indigenous people, and those from disadvantaged communities. Through the support of donors, we lift long-standing, systemic barriers to accelerate the growth of a strong community of wildlife champions and future leaders solving urgent biodiversity challenges. We do this in two ways: By supporting conservationists from underrepresented groups with grants and professional development to advance their work and help them thrive in the field; And by inspiring the next generation of diverse conservationists through a unique middle school wildlife champion education program. We know that to save the life-giving web of biodiversity we must have every smart voice, solution and lived experience at the table – and we’re determined to make that happen.
